QC1 quick couplings have been widely accepted and widely used in various industries. A wide range of terminators are available for all types of installations. Operating pressures up to 3000 psig (206 bar) and operating temperatures from -50°F to 500°F (-45°C to 260°C). The operation of the Hikelok quick connector is to use the filter before the quick connector. Use body and stem protection or dust cover on unconnected body and stem. Align body and stem when connecting or separating. Connect and separate fast connectors at room temperature. Connect and detach quick connectors during system cleaning operations. Support hanging hoses or other equipment to prevent side loads. Rewet the spool stem seal O-ring periodically.
