Product introduction
FDSI(Field Device System Integrator) is used to provide an interface for data communication between field devices and Evo systems. Each card can provide data integration capability of up to 2000 DCI (Distributed Control Interface) modules. DCI can be an analog module or a digital module.
For field devices, FDSI has both standard data communication drivers (Modbus, ModbusTCP/IP, OPC, etc.), and can also be developed and loaded according to customer needs for specific communication protocols. FDSI and its terminals are suitable for installation in Class1Division2 and Zone2 environments.
Redundant Field Device System Integrator (FDSI) component FBM231 provides A string interface between I/A Series systems and two-port field I/O devices.
The main functions of the FBM231 component:
Redundant FBM231 components communicate with two-port devices.
Each of the four ports can be individually configured via software as RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485.
Supports RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 communication interface standards.
I/O software drivers can be downloaded from the communication protocol library.
Up to 2000 DCI functional blocks can be connected.
Up to 64 RS-485 communication devices or 4 devices directly connected to RS-232 or RS-422 can be connected.
Integrate field data into the I/A system control database.
Onsite installation.
Meets G3 (harsh) environmental standards.
With field wiring to two terminal attachments, a pair of FBM231 component connections provides fieldbus component (FBM) level redundancy. In this configuration, one FBM231 is the master station and the other is the slave station. The input of the control station is updated based on the information received from the device input of the master station connected to the network. The output of the device relies on I/O drivers written by the master and slave components. The task switch is automatic when the I/O driver detects a real problem, such as a heartbeat, or the user can switch tasks at any time through the SMDH. The FBM231 has four ports, each of which can be configured individually by software to be RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485. This gives the FBM231 the flexibility to connect to multiple similar but not identical devices. Ports 1,2,3, and/or 4 can be configured as a single logical port that uses redundant cables to interface with two-port I/O devices in the factory.
The FBM231 and its connected terminal accessories (TA) are suitable for many types of devices connected to two ports; Connect directly to the device; Connect to a modem when using the RS-232 communication interface; The multi-station communication network is connected to RS-485.
This mounting device can be connected between TA and field device.
For single-port devices, the FBM230 is used.
